Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Inc., today announced the opening of its 107th restaurant, located in Biloxi, Mississippi. After a ten year absence, this opening marks Ruth’s Chris’ return to Mississippi.
The opening of the Biloxi restaurant holds a special meaning for Ruth’s Chris, as it symbolizes redevelopment along the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” commented Craig Miller, Ruth’s Chris Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer.
This restaurant was originally set to open two days before Katrina devastated this region. Over the past 22 months, the dedication and commitment of those working to rebuild Biloxi has been incredible, and I am very proud of the work by our team to make this restaurant a part of that community’s success.”
As part of the pre-opening activities, team members of Ruth’s Chris visited Biloxi’s Volunteer Village, sponsored by Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army, to host a lunch for the roughly 200 volunteers who have showed unwavering and continued dedication to rebuilding homes for those in need. In addition, Ruth’s Chris will be donating the proceeds from a special wine sale at its opening celebrations to both organizations.
