Mike Lowe is the president and CEO of Smartbox, a Richmond-based portable self-storage provider that has franchises in more than 40 U.S. markets.
Lowe helped found the company in 2002 and has seen tremendous growth ever since. By 2009, he expects that Smartbox will be able to offer its storage solutions to more than 85 percent of the U.S. population. Lowe and his family have been Richmond residents for 14 years but recently moved from the Fan to the Near West End a few weeks ago.
