Dr Mahathir said this means that other people can share in its business once it proves to be a success.

‘I have said before that if others want to take up the franchise, why not?’ he said.

‘I am not doing this for myself,’ he said in an interview with Bernama at The Loaf in Telaga Harbour Park along Pantai Kok here.

The Loaf is run by M&M Consolidated Sdn Bhd, a company co-owned by Dr Mahathir and Jiro Suzuki.

The menu at The Loaf is based on a fusion of Japanese, Malaysian and European recipes.
