The Birmingham-based owners of Key West Inns said it has added 4 new hotels to its portfolio in the past year and plans to open 10 more by the end of 2007.
The additional hotels represent a 30% growth for the hotel chain, the highest it has seen since its founding in 1989, said Neal Jackson, brand president and franchise director.
The chain said in a news release that 2 former Best Western hotels have converted to the South-Florida themed concept, one in Baxley, Ga., and one in Roanoke, Ala., and that 2 others are currently under construction.
