Domino’s To Have 500 Outlets In India By 2011

Quick service restaurant chain Domino’s on Monday said it is undertaking on a multifold expansion of setting up 500 outlets across India by 2010-11, entailing investment of Rs 350 crore.

“Currently Domino’s has 156 outlets in India and by 2010-11 we want to have 500 company owned outlets,” Domino’s Pizza India CEO Ajay Kaul told media.

He said around 60 new outlets would come up by March 2008 and another 70 would be added by 2009, eventually growing at total 350 new outlets by 2010-11.

Claiming as largest player in the quick service restaurant industry in terms of revenue and number of outlets, Domino’s has registered 60 per cent growth in turnover this year as against 2006.

“Our share in the country’s Pizza market has also grown from 40 per cent last year to 45 per cent this year,” Kaul said.
