The owner of 14 Dunkin’ Donuts shops in Massachusetts has bought a majority stake of the 18 franchises in Sarasota and the surrounding 4 counties, with plans to build another 26 stores in 5 years.
After nearly 6 months of negotiations, Bill Daly (photo) bought the Dunkin’ Donuts business, worth ‘upwards of $10 million’ from partners Marvin Kaplan, Kevin Millard and Shawn Cabrall. The 3 will retain a minority interest and will acquire land and develop Dunkin’ Donuts properties for KMS III, a division of Daly’s company, AlphaRock LLC.
The 18 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants are in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, DeSoto and Hardee counties. More.
