CKE, the parent company of fast food chain Hardee’s, has sold 34 of the chain’s North Carolina restaurants to an area franchiser.
The stores were purchased by Rocky Mount-based Boddie-Noell Enterprises, which is the largest Hardee’s franchise operator and has been in business with the chain since 1962.
A company spokeswoman says the deal with CKE, which includes restaurants throughout the Triangle and Rocky Mount areas, gives Boddie-Noell 343 Hardee’s restaurants around the country. Boddie-Noell declined to disclose terms of the transaction, and a CKE representative wasn’t immediately available for comment.
