A new restaurant promotion in Tennessee is getting a failing grade from teachers. The commercial for the Hardee’s restaurant chain shows a teacher dancing on top of her desk while high school boys rap about her body.
Tennessee Education Association president Dr. Earl Wiman says their office has been flooded by calls and emails from people complaining that the advertisement is disrespectful.
“The focus should be on student achievement, and not what the teacher’s butt looks like. Hardee’s is exploiting high school students and teachers for money.”
Wiman encourages anyone offended to call local restaurants, or Hardee’s corporate offices, to voice their concerns. Hardee’s has not yet responded to the complaints.
