Salsa made by the owners of Tucson restaurant El Parador will soon be sold in local Wal-Mart locations, said co-owner Loretta Carlson.
Carlson said the restaurant has received confirmation that its salsa will be sold in nine locations locally, under the name John Jacob’s El Parador Salsa. She said the salsa could start showing up on store shelves in 2 to 3 weeks.
The business has sold salsa since the 1990s, previously to Costco and under different brand names through Shamrock Foods.
