Restaurant-industry veteran Randy Kibler has been named chief executive of Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc., effective immediately.
Kibler succeeds Joe Drury, who has led the restaurant group since he and his partners purchased the company in 1998.Drury intends to focus on other business interests following Thursday’s announcement that local private-equity firm Falfurrias Capital Partners bought a 60 percent interest in Bojangles’ Holdings Inc., the parent company of Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc. of Charlotte.
Drury retains an ownership interest in Bojangles’ and a position on the company’s board. He will work as a Bojangles’ consultant.
Kibler spent 26 years working at Spartan Foods and later Flagstar Cos. Inc., where he was a senior vice president as well as president and chief operating officer of the 600-restaurant Hardee’s division.
