Naperville entrepreneur Elaine Krieger opened her eighth resale clothing franchise in 10 years, and she said she is “surprised” at how quickly her own empire developed.
Saturday, she held a grand opening for Clothes Mentor, 582 S. Route 59 in Naperville, which sells designer-name clothing, shoes and accessories, selected for quality and condition.
Krieger first thought about used clothing years ago when she walked into a Once Upon a Child store.
“About 10 years ago, I was involved in some corporate restructuring in the business world when I was basically forced out,” Krieger said. “I wasn’t sure what I would do with myself, but one day I was grocery shopping and I walked into this used kids’ clothing store, saw the prices and the value and was just overwhelmed. My husband and I decided soon after to open a franchise in Joliet, and we’ve added seven more stores since.
SchoolOfMusic.com recruits music teachers and then provides music lessons in students’ homes, teachers’ home studios, and after school programs. Their bizop is a must see!
