Inquirer.net:

San Miguel Purefoods Co. has opened its first Outbox franchise store at the Ateneo de Davao University-College campus here.

Necel Jean Marquez, SMC Mindanao fast foods operations officer, said they were planning to put up a total of 10 stores here by 2008.

10 similar stores will be put up in the cities of Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, Butuan, Digos, General Santos and Kidapawan, she said last week Tuesday.

Marquez described their ‘Outbox’ stores as basically food carts designed to sell rice toppings in conveniently read-to-go take out boxes targeting fastfood or restaurant customers.

She said a franchisee would have to infuse an initial capital of P150,000 only, including the franchise fee, and P5,000 in initial inventory of about 100 packs of meals.
