GRANDPOLITON Sdn Bhd, which operates the local Tony Roma’s outlets, may consider expanding its reach in Southeast Asia.
“While we haven’t set a timeline in opening Tony Roma’s outlets abroad, it’s something we’ll consider just as we’re doing for The Manhattan Fish Market,” said Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd group managing director George Ang.Grandpoliton is a subsidiary of Revenue Valley, which also operates eateries Hainan Kopitiam, Sushi Groove and The Manhattan Fish Market.
Currently, there are four Tony Roma’s outlets in the Klang Valley including in Sunway Pyramid, Cineleisure, Pavilion KL and The Gardens, Mid Valley City, slated to open by December. Total investments for all the outlets are over RM10 million.
On domestic expansion, Ang said he would focus on locations that draw middle to upper-income earners. He added that Grandpoliton would target high-traffic areas.
“Our Cineleisure Tony Roma’s is the top retailer in terms of sales for the mall,” said Ang, but declined to provide sales figures.
