Metal Supermarkets Corporation(R) (MSC) is pleased to announce that effective October 2, 2007, MSC has acquired 100% of the outstanding units of Metal Mart LLC, dba Metal Express(R) from A. M. Castle & Co. (Castle).
Metal Express’ business model closely mirrored that of Metal Supermarkets and was a natural, logical and synergistic fit to our own business” said Stephen Schober, MSC’s President & Chief Executive Officer. “There were few markets where there were any overlaps with our existing locations, thereby enabling us to considerably expand our geographic coverage in markets we had targeted for our own growth.”
