Melting Pot Expands Into Canada

There is nary a region that isn’t interested in fondue, and Canada will soon get a taste of how it’s done in Tampa as The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. expands north of the border.

Franchising is beginning in the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia, specifically targeting cities such as Toronto and Vancouver. Officials with the Tampa-based company said they are focused on those areas because of their population density, average incomes, culture and proximity to the American border.
