A new chicken wing franchise is ready to descend on western Pennsylvania.
Wingstop, an aviation-themed chicken wing franchise based in Dallas, recently opened the first of 25 planned Pennsylvania locations in Greensburg.The local franchisee is Gary Rosenthal, who also owns a Taco Bell franchise in Indiana, Pa. Wingstop has 306 locations open and nearly another 300 in development nationwide, a spokesman said. Sales for 2007 are expected to top $200 million.
Bruce Evans, vice president of franchise recruitment for Wingstop, said the company plans to award multiple franchises throughout the Pittsburgh market.
