Hilton In Deal To Expand In Turkey

Financial Times:

Hilton will bring its Hampton economy and Hilton Garden Inn mid-market brands to Turkey in the next 5 years, signing a letter of understanding with Amplio, a Turkish developer, for 15 hotels.

The deal adds to similar agreements to build hotels in Russia and other parts of Europe as a strategy for 65 new hotels across the continent by 2012.

Amplio and Hilton will begin work on new hotels in Manisa in the west of Turkey and Diyarbakir in the east. Hilton already operates eight hotels in Turkey.
