Schlotzsky’s plans to nearly double its Kansas City-area presence in the next five years.
The fast-casual restaurant chain has six locations in the metro area and is looking for franchisees to open five more, the company said in a release Monday. The investment to own and operate a Schlotzsky’s is about $400,000 to $550,000.
The expansion is part of a national growth strategy to open 50 new restaurants a year. Schlotzsky’s has about 365 locations in 35 states and six foreign countries.
