Dick Spohn, the co-founder of PuroClean, said he is selling his interest in the company to a partner group run by David McKinnon, who founded Service Brands International.
McKinnon has served on PuroClean’s advisory board for the past two years. Rory O’Dwyer will retain his half-ownership interest in the Tamarac-based emergency environmental remediation company.
Spohn will hold a chairman emeritus seat on the company’s board of directors.
McKinnon said the 160-unit franchise was a natural fit for his partnership group.
