The approaching Veterans Day is a reminder that honoring those who have served in the U.S. military can take place more than just on Nov. 11.
The Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran) Program assists honorably-discharged veterans’ transition to civilian careers, and through it, nearly 1,000 veterans have become franchise-small-business owners.
A survey, currently in progress, will provide the latest figures on Nov. 7. More than 250 IFA-member companies participate in the program by offering financial incentives, such as a discount of the initial fee. A list of the participating companies and the discounts they offer is available on IFA’s Web site, www.franchise.org.
