Thomas Green’s, a UK based grocery store franchise, was set to open a new outlet in Strasbourg on Saturday 17th November. The Strasbourg branch will be owned and operated by franchisee Hatem Gheribi, who has worked in the retail sector in France and the UK.
The company, which specialises in selling well known British products, already has outlets in Paris, Lille and The Hague. Strasbourg, which is the capital and principal city of the Alsace region as well as home to several European institutions, has about 3000 British residents living in the area.
‘A lot of British families want to give their children the same treats they has when they were little and I have received a number of requests from the English speaking community already,’ says Hatem, Thomas Green’s Strasbourg franchisee.
