The newest executive for Bob Evans Farms Inc.’s Mimi’s Cafe chain hails from familiar territory.

Just named as vice president of operations, productivity and integration, Herbert Billinger comes to the upscale casual eatery from Louisville, Ky.-based Yum Brands Inc., where Bob Evans Chairman and CEO Steven Davis spent 13 years before coming to the company in 2006.

Billinger most recently served as vice president of operations and senior director of franchise operations for Yum’s Kentucky Fried Chicken chain, a post he held since 2002. Before that, he served in various positions with the company’s Pizza Hut chain starting in 1990, three years before Davis arrived at the same chain.
