Green Acres Accused Of Misleading Franchise Buyers

People who have invested in fake Green Acres franchises are accusing the company of misleading them over its involvement in the scam.

Green Acres says it is investigating accusations a franchisee has duped hundreds of people out of a total of $3 million by selling them bogus ironing franchises for $20,000 each.

Auckland man, Hiren Bhagat, says he paid $21,000 for a Green Acres franchise in May 2006, only to find it does not exist.

Mr Bhagat says concerned franchise owners contacted Green Acres management in October and believe the company knows more than it is letting on. Read on.
