People who have invested in fake Green Acres franchises are accusing the company of misleading them over its involvement in the scam.
Green Acres says it is investigating accusations a franchisee has duped hundreds of people out of a total of $3 million by selling them bogus ironing franchises for $20,000 each.
Auckland man, Hiren Bhagat, says he paid $21,000 for a Green Acres franchise in May 2006, only to find it does not exist.
