A little sliver of a rumor is making the rounds that California Pizza Kitchen is needing a League City site.
Officials could not be reached late Friday to confirm the tasty morsel.
Word has it that the Los Angeles-based chain would set up shop somewhere near the sizzling Interstate 45-FM 646 corridor.
For the uninitiated, California Pizza Kitchen is a casual dining chain that dishes up unusual hearth-baked pies, such as BBQ Chicken pizza, along with a broad selection of pastas, salads, soups, appetizers and sandwiches.
The average guest check, according to the chain, is $13.37.
As of January, there were 228 California Pizza Kitchen restaurants. Of those, 193 were company owned and 35 operate under franchise or license agreements. Stay tuned.
