The special committee exploring the next big move for Wendy’s International Inc. is nearing the end of its work, the company told investors Monday.
The Dublin, Ohio-based fast-food chain said the committee it formed last year to explore strategic alternatives for the business, including a possible sale, believes it is in the final stages of the review process. The company acknowledged the committee, announced in April, has taken longer than expected because of ongoing setbacks in the financial markets.
