Tax Preparer Rebrands Itself, Relaunching With Franchises

Larry Jackley wants to reinvent the neighborhood accountant.

Ten years after starting a tax preparation business called TaxTech Inc., Jackley has relaunched the company as a franchise under a new name, BookSmarts Tax and Accounting Services.

The BookSmarts brand launched this week with the opening of the company’s first franchise location in Cranberry. Former TaxTech franchises in Pleasant Hills, Bridgeville and Morgantown, W.Va., also converted to BookSmarts.
