According to Tony Luke Jr., ‘the cheesesteak’s time has come.’

And if his plan of national and international franchising, grocery store distribution and product merchandising works out, he could be right.

Tony Luke’s, which opened in South Philadelphia 30 years ago, plans to set up franchises from Nevada to Dubai, and within the next 8 months a line of frozen products will appear in grocery stores across the country. To help with his cheesesteak mission, Luke has enlisted the help of Rastelli Foods Group in Logan Township, which will supply meat to all Tony Luke’s outlets.

‘It was a really good marriage between the 2 of us,’ Luke said of the company’s partnership with Rastelli. Rastelli Foods Group started up around the same time Tony Luke’s did, and the company has already found international success.
