Officials with Manatee County-based First Watch Restaurants Inc. plan to announce today franchises for sale in 35 states in a bid to expand the chain of breakfast-lunch restaurants.
The company, with sales of approximately $72 million last year, hopes the announcement will spur conventioneers attending the annual meeting of the International Franchise Association in Orlando this week to invest in First Watch restaurants franchises. The company is projecting 2008 revenues at $79 million.
“We see franchising as a unique opportunity to grow our brand at a much faster pace than a company-owned standpoint,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer.
