Tehnosila To Open 140 Franchising Stores In 2008

Tehnosila consumer electronics and home appliance retailer has summarized 2007 operational results of one of its business lines. 84 franchising stores were opened under Tehnosila brand in 80 Russian settlements. Thus, the total number of Tehnosila franchise stores amounts to 92, while their total trading area exceeds 31 thousand square meters.

Tehnosila franchising project was launched in June 2006. According to the company’s development strategy, franchise stores are opened in towns with less than 100 thousand population, while in cities with more than 100 thousand population the company opens its own hypermarkets. According to the franchising agreement, partners pay the royalty of 15% from the difference between the purchasing price and end price of goods for using Tehnosila brand and technologies, personnel training, advertising support and logistics.
