Chief executive intern of Corporate Guards Ltd., Major Austine Imoni (rtd), heads one of the nation’s leading security services organisations. He, in this interview with Sunday Vanguard, speaks on contributions of the industry to the economy. He also advocates the need for security education and consciousness in the country.

Could you give us an idea about your background? Corporate Guards is a private security organisation established about 14 years ago by our president, Mr. Wanle Akinboboye.

It is an organisation that believes in educating the masses, the people of this country, in the area of security because we know the level of security in this country is not satisfactory. Nigerians are not well educated-security wise. In addition, Corporate Guards operates as a para military security organisation. Secondly, we operate on a franchise basis.
