Dunkin’ Donuts has clinched its first franchisee for a 30-restaurant expansion deal in Central Ohio.

The Canton, Mass.-based restaurant chain, a subsidiary of Dunkin’ Brands Inc., on Thursday said it signed a multistore development agreement with Columbus-based USA Restaurant Developers LLC. Two shops are set to open this year, with 28 more scheduled for the next five years.

The company didn’t disclose locations, but said the 30 shops will be situated in Delaware, Union and Madison counties and just outside the region in Marion and Hardin counties. It said it’s still looking for franchisees for Franklin, Fairfield and Pickaway counties and other surrounding areas.
