Arby’s To Open More Restaurants In Alabama In ‘08

Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc. said it surpassed its restaurant development goals for 2007 and will open nearly 200 new stores this year, including several in Alabama.

Arby’s Restaurant Group, an Atlanta-based unit of Triarc Cos. that franchises Arby’s, opened 148 Arby’s restaurants in 2007 and has gained commitments to open another 197 in the United States and Canada.

Franchisee PRP, which currently operates 21 Arby’s in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi, agreed to open 5 additional locations in Alabama and Mississippi, although was not more specific.
