IFA:
The International Franchise Association (IFA) today named
Alisa Harrison as vice president of communications and marketing, a new position designed to enhance the organization’s external media outreach and education efforts. Additionally, IFA named Terry Hill vice president of publishing, who will be responsible for all publications produced by the association.
‘These appointments will help IFA better meet the needs of our members and the franchising sector, both of which have experienced significant growth during the past decade,’ said Matthew Shay, IFA president and CEO.
‘By increasing our efforts in communication, marketing and publishing, we can help ensure that policy makers, the media and members understand the consequences of ill-advised laws that prevent small businesses from thriving and increasing jobs, output and payroll for the U.S. economy.’
IFA represents 1,300 franchisors, 10,000 franchisees and 500 suppliers of products and services to franchised businesses. In the U.S., more than 900,000 franchised establishments create 21 million American jobs and generate $2.3 trillion in economic output.
