Thrifty Car Rental Adds 4 New Franchised Locations

Thrifty Car Rental, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc., continues its expansion, recently adding 4 new franchised locations to its network of U.S. locations. To date, Thrifty Car Rental has 348 locations in the U.S., 151 of which are franchise-owned and operated.

New locations are opening in markets that include New Britain, Conn., Lafayette, Ind., Asheville, N.C. and San Antonio, Texas.

‘We are pleased to announce these latest additions to the Thrifty Car Rental network of franchisees,’ said Jeff Cerefice, Vice President, U.S. Franchise Operations. ‘While Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. has a strategy of operating corporately in the larger U.S. markets, we continue on a course of franchising in the mid-size to smaller markets. These new franchisees will be great additions to the Thrifty Car Rental team.’

In New Britain, Conn., owner Salvatore Vaccaro has opened a local market Thrifty Car Rental location at 296 Allen Street. He will focus on growing Thrifty Car Rental’s presence in Connecticut, with plans to open additional rental locations in neighboring towns.
