A growing Canadian franchising company that specializes in healthful Asian- and Japanese-inspired fast food is planning to enter the El Paso market with a bang.
Teriyaki Experience, based in Toronto, plans to open its first El Paso franchise within 12 to 18 months and add six to seven more within five to seven years, said Joe Arancio, the company’s vice president of U.S. development.
Central resident Brian Hopple, a mortgage broker with Mortgage Professionals, said “having a healthy alternative would be good for El Paso and I definitely think it will take off.”
Hopple said he eats out four or five times a week and often finds it difficult to find healthful restaurant food.
“If it’s not a salad, it’s heart-attack food, and I eat a lot of it,” he said with a laugh.
