Open Sundaes poised for major breakthrough on deal with Paris’s Compagnie Whistler.

Mashiah Vaughn believes her line of bath and body products is poised for a major breakthrough with the signing of an agreement with Paris-based Compagnie Whistler to distribute her products in Europe.
‘This is a very exciting opportunity to be approached by this company out of Paris,’ the 31-year-old Vaughn, who launched Vancouver-based Open Sundaes Bath and Body Products in 2005, said in an interview. ‘We sent some product over for testing. My plan is to have this worldwide.’
Vaughn, who is also a local model and actor, said the expansion - initially in France [in a number of pharmacies], Switzerland and Belgium - coincides with her belief that small businesses should always take advantage of new markets.
‘You should try to get it out there. Hong Kong would [also] be a great market.’
Vaughn’s bath and body products, which were originally sold at Vancouver’s Sutton Place Hotel when she first launched the company, are available at her 2 stand-alone stores in Vancouver, 77 retail partners throughout Canada and the U.S., and another 30 Hudson’s Bay stores across the country. On May 1, they will be available at 24 Save-On-Foods stores in western Canada.
