BCorp Buys Global Rights To Kenny Rogers Roasters

Berjaya Corporation Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Roasters Asia Pacific (Cayman) Ltd (RAPCayman) has acquired US-incorporated NF Roasters Corp, which is the owner of the Kenny Rogers Roasters (KRR) brand, from Nathan’s Famous Inc for US$4 million (RM12.8 million).

In a statement yesterday, BCorp said Roasters Asia Pacific had completed the acquisition upon the execution of a stock purchase agreement with Nathan’s.

The KRR brand was first introduced in the US in 1991 by country music musician, Kenny Rogers and former Kentucky Fried Chicken owner and original developer Governor John Y Brown, Jr.
