St. Louis Bar and Grill, which has 22 locations across Ontario, is expanding into Northern Ontario and Timmins is one of several communities on which the franchise has set its sights.
Its Timmins location - in addition to ones North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay and Sudbury - will bring its total count to 27.
The franchise is best known for its wings and ribs.
St. Louis Bar and Grill president Brent Poulton, who grew up in Sudbury, said Northern Ontario is and will always be near and dear to his heart. He said when looking at Northern communities in which to expand the restaurant, Timmins was an obvious choice.
‘When you look at the population base of Timmins and its competitive advantage and simple things like average incomes, guest frequency and the cultural fit of who we are and what the people of Timmins would be looking for, it was a natural,’ Poulton said.
