June 12th Events Offer Attendees Opportunity to Meet Business Experts and Top Employers Face-to-Face - Job Opportunities Available.
Who you know is just as important as what you know. With a twist on the more common adage in mind, the Westchester/Greater Connecticut Chapter of the National Black MBA Association will host two events at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, NY on Thursday, June 12, 2008 to help local minority professionals make powerful connections. The Chapter’s 2nd Annual Entrepreneur Summit and Business Showcase will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The organization’s 2nd Annual Professional Diversity Career Summit will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Entrepreneur Summit assists business owners in moving their enterprises to the next level, and targets established, new, and prospective entrepreneurs.
“The event brings together minority entrepreneurs, supplier diversity experts, and financial and lending professionals in an atmosphere perfect for networking and deal-making,” said Michael McNeil, NBMBAA-WGC President. “The Summit & Showcase has become a must-attend for those seeking global growth in the competitive 21st century business environment.”
Participants may exhibit their products and services and take part in forums that provide salient advice on growing their business.
The “Financial Hour of Power” seminar offers assistance with preparing a business plan and financial documents, and helps identify funding sources. Other sessions will include “Promoting Your Brand,” “Becoming the Preferred Supplier,” and “Entrepreneur and Franchising Opportunities.” To register, visit www.nbmbaa-wgc.com.
