Fiona Kirk has been appointed to the position of human resources manager at FITEC. FITEC is the Industry Training Organisation for the forestry, wood manaufacturing, furniture, bio security and credit management industries. Kirk has extensive HR experience and has contracted across a variety of large organisations since 2005 including NZ Post, Telecom and most recently at ASB Bank.

Jackie Paul has joined Buddle Findlay’s Christchurch office as a solicitor in the litigation team. Jackie specialises in employment law and civil litigation. She most recently practised in the UK as an in-house employment lawyer.

Bassam Maghzal has joined Buddle Findlay’s Christchurch office as a senior solicitor in the corporate and commercial team. Bassam specialises in commercial and business matters and has a special interest in franchising.

Jos Kunnen has joined location intelligence specialists Critchlow Ltd as chief executive officer. Kunnen was CIO of Contact Energy from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, he was the Australasian general manager of consulting and systems integration for Hewlett Packard, where he worked for 15 years.
