With nearly 14% of the Ontario population currently 65 years or older, the needs of Ontario seniors are extremely important. As the national percentage of seniors is set to double over the next 20 years, Nurse Next Door, one of Canada’s fastest growing in-home senior care providers, has kicked off its Ontario expansion with the launch of a locally owned and operated franchise in the nation’s capital.
With 10 locations already in operation in BC, Nurse Next Door is rapidly expanding across the country. The Ottawa franchise will serve as the starting point for a massive Ontario expansion plan that is expected to see at least 10 locations in the province before the end of the year. Franchises are also expected to be launched in other major cities across Canada later this year.
“Our Ontario launch has been in the works for a long time now and we are excited to really change the way senior care is delivered in the province,” says Nurse Next Door co-founder John DeHart. “With the current healthcare system stretched already, and the senior demographic only growing, we know in-home senior care is the solution to Canada’s healthcare challenge.”
