Larry Heller, a franchisee who owns 4 stores in the Chicago area, led potential business owners through an informational seminar about operating the popular restaurants Thursday evening as the company plans to re-establish its presence in the region. Heller said the company has approved seven locations throughout Northeast Wisconsin, including locations in Oshkosh, Appleton, Green Bay and Neenah.

‘(Quiznos) has given me a list of what they’d like to see happen growth-wise and it’s pretty big and happens without infringing on the existing stores we have in the region,’ Heller said. ‘We have 7 approved locations and now we’re going to try to put some owners in them.’

Heller said Quiznos stores in Oshkosh and Neenah fell prey to a period of growing pains within the organization that resulted in a partial buyout by Morgan Stanley and the addition of current CEO and turn-around artist Greg Brenneman.
