Franchises are huge business. Although some like to come up with their own ideas to run a business, there are others who want something of a sure thing. Nothing is ever sure when it comes to opening a business, but there are some things that have a better chance of succeeding on their own. This is true of profitable franchises which may cost more at the start, but most of the planning, décor, and even the customer base might already be there.

Today, the franchising industry generates billions of pesos in retail sales and are a strong economic force driving the Philippine economy. The franchise industry is also a self-employment option for many as they help people retain a sense of independence while ensuring job security and self-sufficiency.

Gas prices are high, food is more expensive, and the job market cold, but the index of expectations of the Philippine franchising industry is highly charged. Industry leaders are confident that the industry will boom with the consumption-driven economy being powered by the remittances of overseas Filipinos and a favorably active tourism and property sector.
