Brinker International is offering assistance to the employees of Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurants who lost their jobs this week when the company’s local franchisee-operated restaurants closed.
Dallas-based Brinker (NYSE: EAT) franchises the Chili’s concept and is taking over the two remaining Oregon Chili’s, at Clackamas Town Center and in Eugene. Today, the company suggested that the franchisee, Quality Restaurants Northwest Inc., mishandled the closures and layoffs.
Locus said the company will assist former Quality employees with finding jobs in the Brinker portfolio and in the restaurant industry. Employees of the Chili’s restaurants previously owned by Quality Restaurants Northwest Inc. can call 800-334-4783 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, Central Standard Time, for job information and other assistance.
