Honey business inks deal with Greenling Organic Delivery, eyes national expansion.

Konrad Bouffard knows a thing or 2 about the sweet taste of success.

The founder and owner of Round Rock Honey has seen his business grow 100% each year since its inception in 2002. With plans to expand operations and distribution, he hopes to start competing on a national scale with the giants of the honey industry in the next 5 years.

Bouffard may be better known around Williamson County for his free bee removal service. He takes the pests off of homeowners’ hands for free so the bees aren’t killed and homes aren’t subjected to harsh chemicals.

But those bees have been the backbone of the honey business that has been gaining local notoriety - appearing on the shelves of Whole Foods Market Inc.’s Austin stores, Grapevine Market and Specs Liquors in the past year.

As of this month, Round Rock Honey has also started a relationship with Greenling Organic Delivery in Austin, bumping out Goodflow’s honey, to be the delivery service’s honey of choice. Read more.
