Lenny’s Sub Shop is entering the Denver market with 40 stores in a move that will deepen the sandwich chain’s reach in the West.
“The West is a hot region for Lenny’s right now, with several restaurants having recently opened in Nevada, New Mexico and California,” says George Alvord, CEO of Lenny’s Franchisor LLC, which franchises Lenny’s Sub Shop.
Lenny’s Franchisor has inked a deal with a group of 26 investors to develop stores in the greater Denver area. Mile High Sammies LLC, led by Memphis investors Jerry Bell, Kerry Cleveland, Scott Davis, Joe Gilmore, Nathan Turner and Dodd Williams, has so far raised $2 million to start up development, says Turner, president of Mile High Sammies. Completion of all stores is expected within six to seven years.
