German sports goods maker, Adidas, is planning to have a total of 450 franchisee outlets in India, a fifth of which is going to be in the eastern region, said Andreas Gellner, Managing Director, Adidas India Marketing Private Limited.
Presently there are about 325 stores across the country, the northern and western parts being its most lucrative and profit making centres, followed by the south and eastern India.
Most stores will be based on a franchisee model.
