HoneyBaked Ham Co. is looking to set up shop in Victoria.
The company – which began in Detroit in 1957 – offers specialty meats, such as spiral sliced ham and turkey, the company’s director of franchise development Jim Squire said.
Victoria is a prime location because it sits in the middle of other HoneyBaked ham locations, such as Corpus Christi, Houston and San Antonio, Squire said.
“We’ve sort of surrounded Victoria like the Alamo and we’re ready now for a franchisee to open up a store in Victoria,” he said.
The Victoria model would feature the specialty meats, as well as a cafe, which would offer soups, sandwiches and salads, Squire said. Local catering would also be available.
