The Spicy Pickle™ fast casual restaurant at 44650 Waxpool Road today announced its first anniversary in business, bringing area patrons the best culinary-inspired paninis, salads, and subs featuring innovative flavors from around the world. To celebrate, it will donate a percentage of all sales proceeds during the month of June to a local team participating in the 2008 Washington DC Breast Cancer 3-Day event.

Spicy Pickle is a deliciously different choice for lunch and dinner, combining unique menu items with a relaxing, contemporary décor and prices that are below that of typical casual restaurants. Customers enjoy a wide selection of hot-pressed panini sandwiches, scrumptious original salads, and literally thousands of combinations of sub sandwiches. Also featured at Spicy Pickle are an unlimited number of build-your-own sandwich options, soups, sides, drinks and - of course - the world’s best spicy pickle.

Nagaraj Sriram, partner in the Ashburn Spicy Pickle, says his restaurant’s participation in the Breast Cancer 3-Day Event reflects its desire to be part of the local community. “Every Spicy Pickle is different, and each one has its own personality. We’re proud to support Kaight Cichon’s team in its bid to support cancer research benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.”
