Best of Mediterranean opened its first location in 2006 in downtown L.A., building on the 20 years of restaurant experience of the Krikorian family. Everything is made from scratch using fresh ingredients… nothing out of cans. Menu favorites are grilled kabobs, falafel, shawerma (a rotisserie of fresh filet mignon, sliced and marinated with Mediterranean spices), and manti (a dumpling stuffed with ground meat, marinated and baked Mediterranean-style, unique to Best of Mediterranean).

“Our concept immediately caught on, both with diners and with people who were interested in replicating our success,” said Greg Krikorian, CEO and founder of Best of Mediterranean. “I decided to see how easy it would be to open a second location using the first as a model, even though I had no experience actually running a restaurant.”
